This laser printer guarantees crisp text documents and lower costs per page which makes it economical to use in the long run. But while the multifunction Brother DCP-7070DW is aimed at the small office setting, it only prints in monochrome; also, graphics output is not quite as clean and impressive as it should be. Meanwhile, there are many other colour laser printers at the same price from other brands.

Design

This multifunction device has a small footprint but it is quite wide at 405 mm (because of the double-hinged flatbed scanner). Its sleek and glossy finish makes it look elegant. The control panel of the Brother DCP-7070DW is angled near the top part and is dominated by a 2-line LCD screen with dedicated buttons for the menu, one-touch functions, and navigation. The paper tray is located at the bottom part of the Brother DCP 7070DW, and there is another one-sheet feeder on top for special paper sizes.

Advantages

Text output is excellent and fast at up to 26 ppm. The Brother DCP-7070DW's photocopier produces fast prints, too, without sacrificing quality. The colour scanner boasts accurate colours and true-to-life details. Users can easily set up this printer to connect via Wi-Fi or Ethernet, or directly link it to their computers via a USB connection.

Disadvantages

One of the major disadvantages of the Brother DCP7070DW is that it can only print black and white, limiting it to doing monochrome documents only. Printing graphics with the Brother DCP-7070DW can be challenging; quality is never quite at par with other models. This printer is relatively pricey when compared with other multifunction devices that can print in colour. The automatic duplexer is also slow.
