This fast and network-ready all-in-one device is integrated with a colour scanner, fax feature, copier, and a laser printer. Aimed at small businesses that do not require colour printing in the office, the Brother MFC-8880DN is a secure and affordable choice. However, some users complain of its overwhelming control panel. It's also overpriced for a supposedly multifunction printer that can only print in monochrome.

Design

The Brother MFC-8880DN is a 5-in-1 device with a flatbed colour scanner, laser printer, flatbed digital laser copier, laser fax, and PC fax. It prints using a mono laser engine, has a large and easily accessible control panel with a 22-characterx5-line LCD display, and an auto document feeder. This large device is surprisingly lighter than expected, being only 18.6 Kg.

Advantages

A 64MB RAM ensures fast print speeds of up to 30 ppm. It remains speedy when the auto duplexer is in use, so users save more time. The Brother MFC-8880DN is network-ready and can print, scan, or fax securely over a wireless network. It also has speed dials, can handle colour scans, and enables direct printing from a USB flash drive. The fax feature of the Brother MFC-8880DN is compatible with Super G3 technology and can transmit or receive messages at up to 33.6 Kbps.
