This fast and user-friendly multifunction device is aimed at medium-sized offices and growing workgroups because of its upgradeable features. The Canon IR-C5255i office colour printer is also praised for high paper capacity, finishing capabilities, and versatile media handling, while time-saving features include direct to USB and the automatic duplexer. Nevertheless, some users might find that the Canon imageRUNER ADVANCE C5255i lacks certain useful features that a multifunction model should posess given the high initial cost of this machine.

Design

The understated appearance of the Canon IR-C5255i printer is ideal for any professional environment, yet it may take up more space than it should with its 700mm deep, 620mm wide, and 1082mm tall structure. It connects to a single computer via high-speed USB 2.0, while multiple computers are supported via Ethernet. There is another USB 2.0 port near the 8.4-inch TFT colour touch panel. The main unit weighs approximately 168Kg. There is a 100-sheet multi-purpose tray along with two 550-sheet cassettes in the IR-C5255i multifunction printer.

Advantages

Text documents are printed crisp and sharp in 1200x1200dpi. The Canon IR- ADV C5255i colour copier can print in speeds of up to 51ppm in colour and 55ppm in monochrome.
