Made specifically for printing small to mid-volume documents in the office, the HP LaserJet 1020 Plus is a no-fuss speedy device that easily fits into a small workspace. It is fairly priced for its laser printing technology, but the unreliable and outdated paper feed may cause problems, and the built-in memory is small.
Design
This printer is designed to print documents and pictures in monochrome, at a decent 600x600 dpi resolution. The HP LaserJet 1020 Plus uses laser print technology, and its monthly duty cycle is 5,000 pages. There is only one standard paper tray. You can connect the printer to your computer via Hi-Speed USB 2.0 cable. At 5 kilograms, the HP LaserJet 1020 Plus is lightweight and compact, measuring 370 x 242 x 209 mm (WxDxH).
Advantages
Printing with the HP LaserJet 1020 Plus is relatively fast (up to 14 ppm), with the first page done in 10 seconds. This printer is also Energy Star qualified, making it friendlier to the environment and more economical to run.
Disadvantages
Unfortunately, this printer is only compatible with Windows operating systems. It does not work with Mac and does not come with a USB cable. The HP LaserJet 1020 Plus lacks the HP ePrint capability, and connectivity is limited to the Hi-Speed USB 2.0 Port. The 234 MHz processor and the 2MB built-in RAM could have been bigger to make the HP LaserJet 1020 Plus speedier.
