The user-friendly operation, fast print and processing speeds, double-sided printing, and mobile support make the Kyocera ECOSYS M6535cidn an ideal multifunction device for a busy and fast-paced small office. It is expandable to accommodate the needs of a growing business, but it is heavy and bulky, and it can be expensive to upgrade to compensate for the insufficient paper capacity of the base unit.

Design

The Kyocera ECOSYS M6535cidn may look bulky and boxy with its 475mm wide, 558mm deep, and 616mm tall frame, which weighs 35.4kg, but the sleek seven-inch full colour touch panel with a home screen adds a contemporary and tech-savvy touch to its overall look. It runs on 1024MB RAM, powered by a 1GHZ processor, and connects to a computer via high-speed USB 2.0 port. Two additional USB host ports and Gigabit Ethernet complete the set of default interfaces. The basic paper capacity is 250 sheets for the universal cassette and 100 sheets for the multi-purpose bin, and the output bin can handle up to 250 sheets.

Advantages

The super G3 fax can transmit messages fast with its 33.6Kbps modem. The scanner can deliver results directly to a USB host, FTP, email, or SMB. The continuous copy function can yield up to 999 duplicates. The Kyocera ECOSYS M6535cidn supports mobile printing for Android and iOS. Duplex printing cuts down paper usage by half. The RAM and paper capacity are upgradeable to 2048MB and 1850 sheets respectively. The Kyocera ECOSYS M6535cidn can print in speeds of up to 35ppm in colour and monochrome.

Disadvantages

The output bin is not upgradeable. The Kyocera ECOSYS M6535cidn can get heavier and taller with extras installed, so it needs a more stable and durable surface and would take up more space too. Standalone copying and faxing are not supported. Wi-Fi, hard disc, and internal print server are not standard in the Kyocera ECOSYS M6535cidn.
