The ECOSYS M6635cidn Kyocera is a colour multifunction printer that offers a wide range of advantages including SSL secure printing. With the ability to scan and copy as well as print, this large-scale printer is ideal for the requirements of most offices. As a laser printer, this unit will be able to print what you need quickly and easily – perfect for a busy office environment. Everything that you need to get started is supplied with the printer.

Design

This unit has a range of connectivity options, so it can be linked to a computer via USB or to a network via ethernet. There is the option of Wi-Fi connectivity on this model. The printer features a multipurpose tray that holds up to 100 sheets, but the main paper tray is designed to hold up to 350 sheets, so it does not need to be refilled very often.

Advantages

The Kyocera M6635cidn ECOSYS has good print speeds, offering up to 35 ppm both in colour and mono. The time to the first print is just 7 seconds. For eco-friendly printing, the unit will automatically print double-sided, and the quality of the print is assured thanks to the 1200x1200 dpi print resolution. The printer is also energy-efficient, and it is estimated that the user will save up to 85% of the electricity used when compared with a standard printer across the unit’s lifetime.

Disadvantages

This is a slightly larger printer model than other printers in the same range, so will require more space in an office, perhaps ruling it out for a small home office. It is not light at 36.4kg, making it hard for one person to move if needed. The lack of printing at A3 size might be a disadvantage for some busy offices, although A4 will meet the needs of the average office.
