Fast colour printing capability makes the Kyocera TASKalfa 4551ci versatile and efficient for highly demanding users who need to produce a wide range of documents and marketing materials for their business. It has built-in colour enhancement features to ensure consistent and accurate image reproduction and sharper text, while extensive media handling allows for easy publishing of brochures and booklets, but the high initial price and expensive upgrades are potential setbacks to the budget-conscious.

Design

The Kyocera TASKalfa 4551ci has an understated design with a matte frame that measures 668mm wide, 747mm tall, and 767mm deep, and it weighs 114kg. A large colour touch panel provides a tech-savvy appeal to it. There are 3.5 gigabytes of RAM and 1067MHz of processing power, and the main interfaces are fast Ethernet for networking, a USB 2.0 host port for direct printing from a flash drive, and high-speed USB 2.0 for direct connection with a computer. Two 500-sheet universal paper cassettes are supplied with a 150-sheet multi-purpose tray, while the default output bin can handle 250 sheets.

Advantages

The paper capacity is upgradeable to 7,650 sheets. The print speed is up to 45ppm in colour on A4-sized sheets. Advanced colour technology improves the sharpness and vibrancy of output. The Kyocera 4551ci has a 320GB hard disk drive for security measures and ready storage. It can print on wider media, such as banners. Extensive finishing and paper handling options are available to the Kyocera TASKalfa 4551ci. There are optional OCR and EFI Fiery controller solutions that are available to this device. Long-life components help reduce maintenance costs.

Disadvantages

The Kyocera TASKalfa 4551ci requires more installation space because of its large, heavy, and bulky frame, especially when it is expanded. It is expensive to upgrade. Internet fax is optional for the Kyocera TASKalfa 4551ci and there is also no option to add Wi-Fi.
