The Lexmark E234tn is a reliable desktop laser printer ideal for personal and business use with adjustable print resolution settings allowing users to optimise quality and performance. It has a fast 25 pages per minute printing for letters capacity, a 10-second time to first page out, and a 200MHz processor as well as 32MB of memory. The printer has an automatic 250-sheet paper feeder and a single-sheet manual feeder with the potential to increase paper capacity by buying an optional 550-sheet drawer. It supports high-quality results on a range of media, including speciality items such as envelopes, transparencies, card stock, index cards and paper labels.
Design
Designed for small, space-sensitive areas, the Lexmark E234tn has dimensions of 14.9 x 15.6 x 14.8 inches and weighs 30.18lbs. Its sturdy industrial design can cope with 15,000 pages per month and provides a black print resolution of 1200 x 1200 dpi, 2400 Image Quality, 600 x 600 dpi, 1200 Image Quality.
Advantages
The Lexmark E234tn incorporates an intuitive operator panel plus simple paper loading facilities to enable seamless installation and operation. As part of the Energy Star programme, the printer has a Power Saver energy-saving mode, which is equivalent to the EPA Sleep Mode, and saves energy by lowering power consumption during long periods of inactivity. The mode can be disabled from the Local Printer Setup Utility or from the resident webpage. It has parallel and USB as well as a toner lower indicator, toner saver mode and job cancel button to help save both time and money.
Disadvantages
The printer is reliable and compact and is designed ideally for use in the home or at work. However, its monochrome-only capabilities mean that it is not as flexible as other LaserJet colour printers, restricting use to more simple documents and texts.
