This is a good, all-around monochrome laser printer that also has colour scanning, copying and faxing capabilities. Ideal for a busy office, this printer features a touch-screen display and can produce up to 44 pages a minute in single-sided printing mode. The Lexmark MX522adhe is a printer that can handle high print volumes and is versatile enough for the modern office.

Design

The Lexmark MX522adhe incorporates a flatbed scanner with an ADF and uses CIS scan technology. The printer has a 250-sheet input tray and a 100-sheet multipurpose feeder. With an optionally increased paper storage capacity, it can store up to 550 sheets. The unit also comes with a wireless option to make connectivity easier. Designed as an energy-efficient model, it uses minimal energy when on standby.

Advantages

The Lexmark MX522adhe takes as little as six seconds from starting up to producing the first printed page, and the print resolution is 1200 x 1200 dpi. The unit can enlarge documents up to 400%, and you can save scans in multiple formats, including JPEG, PDF and XPS files. You can scan directly to email, a network-connected computer or a flash drive, and the printer is compatible with a range of different computer operating systems. The unit can support a variety of different paper types, from card stock to transparencies. The yields for compatible laser cartridges range from 6,000 pages to 25,000 pages, perfect for a busy office environment.

Disadvantages

The Lexmark MX522adhe weighs just over 20kg, meaning that it is not that easy to move around. It measures 477mm x 489mm x 429.5mm, meaning that it will need its own dedicated space in the office, as it will be too large to just sit on the corner of a desk. An Ethernet cable is not included with the printer.
