This well-rounded multifunction colour laser printer is aimed at small offices that would like to streamline productivity without compromising the quality of output. The Samsung CLX-6260FW colour laser multifunction printer has time-saving features that reduce the need to manually connect portable devices for direct printing. It's fairly easy to use, but the touch pad needs improvement.

Design

The 4.3-inch colour touchscreen panel of the Samsung CLX-6260FW printer adds a more tech-savvy look to its otherwise minimalist and understated frame that weighs 58.9Kg. It's powered by a 533MHz Dual CPU with 512MB of memory. The 33.6Kbps fax machine has six megabytes of memory. The standard paper capacity is 250 sheets for the default tray and 50 sheets for the multipurpose feeder, while the output bin can handle up to 100 sheets. Direct USB, Wi-Fi Direct, Gigabit Ethernet, high-speed USB 2.0, and 802.11b/g/n wireless are the general interfaces.

Advantages

Workflow is streamlined because of built-in fax, scan, copy, and print functionality. The Samsung CLX-6260FW 4-in1 MFP prints reasonably fast and in good quality. It scans to and prints from USB flash drives. Users can control who can use the device because of password protection and other security features. Both wired and wireless connectivity are available. Paper handling is flexible, with automatic two-sided printing to save resources. The memory of the Samsung CLX6260FW colour MFP is expandable to 1GB. A second paper cassette can increase the maximum paper capacity to 820 sheets. The high quality Samsung CLX-6260FW toner cartridges deliver solid colour prints without graininess in images.

Disadvantages

The touch pad of the Samsung CLX 6260FW all-in-one tends to be unresponsive. Loud, beeping noises are emitted by the CLX6260FW printer when it wakes up from sleep mode or if users configure its state. Photos printed by this device are inconsistent; some come out with slight tints or lose detail. There are no quick dial keys for the fax.
