A straightforward design with fast monochrome printing capabilities make the Samsung Xpress SL-M2835DW (also known as the Samsung M2835DW) an ideal printer for a small and busy office. It supports near field communication and wireless printing directly from smart phones, while the two-piece toner helps reduce overall costs. Users are getting a good range of advanced feature from an affordable and compact device, but the absence of colour printing can make it less efficient to some demanding environments.

Design

Weighing in at 7.43kg and using a compact frame that measures 14.5 inches wide, 13.2 inches deep and eight inches tall makes it suitable for a desktop set-up without taking up much space. Samsung designed the Xpress M2835DW with Wi-Fi direct, 802.11b/g/n wireless, a 4800x600dpi print engine that works with PCL6, PCL5e, and Samsung Print Language. Paper is handled by a 250-sheet input tray, single-sheet bypass feeder, and a 150-sheet output bin. High-speed USB 2.0 is the default interface.

Advantages

Print wirelessly and directly from a tablet, smartphone, notebook or PC with the Samsung Xpress SL-M2835DW. Google Cloud and Samsung mobile print app are supported. Duplex printing is standard. Printing costs are reduced with a two-piece toner. The small footprint of the Samsung M2835DW allows for easy transportation and set-up. It can print on a wide range of media types like coloured paper, cotton, thick envelopes, transparencies, and recycled sheets.

Disadvantages

The memory of the Samsung Xpress SL-M2835DW is fixed and can not be upgraded, also there are no options to add additional paper capacity. It does not have the ability to connect to a network via ethernet and the Samsung Xpress M2835DW prints only in monochrome.
