With dimensions of 608 x 650 x 834mm and a weight of 79kg, the Sharp MX-4050N is significantly smaller and lighter than previous models in the same range, and can be conveniently located in any spare corner of a busy office space. With its copy speed of 40ppm, it is also faster than many comparable models, and the 600 x 600dpi print resolution is excellent for the majority of user needs. An adjustable 10.1” colour LCD screen is the main control centre for initiating and monitoring printer, scanner and copier functions, as well as network operations. Customisation using the distinctively coloured icons is quick and easy, and the capacity for processing 6,300 sheets per batch is outstanding.

Advantages

The Sharp MX4050N is the perfect choice for a medium-sized office to cope with the usual print, scan and copy requirements. Web connectivity and the ability of the unit to be controlled from remote media such as a smartphone add to its superb flexibility, and with its energy-efficient credentials, it won’t be a drain on limited resources.

Disadvantages

The LCD screen may limit placement options because of its slight reflectivity, and the traditional shape of the Sharp MX-4050N may put some users off if they prefer a more futuristic, sleek design.
