The Xerox Phaser 6020VBI is a compact desktop colour printer. The stand-out features are superb images, colour calibration and an ability to make almost any adjustment desired. Printing from mobile devices at high resolution is quite a handy feature. Unfortunately, the duty cycle is low and first printouts are slow. This is probably due to the dense images produced at high resolution.

Design

This printer is compact and slim. It measures just 394 x 304 x 234 mm. The Xerox Phaser 6020VB is lightweight at 11 kg. It prints colour at up to 10 ppm and black at up to 12ppm. The unique blue angled paper rest stands out on the solid white body of this machine, but it does not take up too much vertical space for a small office.

Advantages

The Xerox Phaser 6020VBI is energy efficient with low power consumption. Maximum print resolution is a step above other printers at 1200 x 2400 dpi with boosted image quality. Special features include colour balance adjustment, draft mode, job monitoring, scaling, and reduce or enlarge options. Colour calibration for solid-colour simulations will produce virtually any colour on the spectrum. Printing directly from a mobile device is a desirable feature that saves time.

Disadvantages

The Xerox Phaser 6020VBI printer lacks in speed and production. The duty cycle produces up to 30,000 images per month. While this is not bad for a slim desktop printer its size, it would be nice if it could handle more prints. Wait time for the first page to print out is about 19 seconds for both colour and black prints. It is no surprise that the printer has a lower duty cycle and slightly slower printouts since the print resolution is so very high. It takes time to put out the ink density for high-quality images.
