If you’re looking for a high quality, all-in-one printer that is both reliable and produces professional quality prints at home, then the Epson XP540 is it. At its price point, you’ll be hard pressed to find such quality at a similar price with any other model and you’re sure to love being able to print wirelessly from anywhere in the house, as well as printing off holiday snaps and family portraits with little more than the click of a button.

Design

Epson XP-540 has a sleek design and all black finish, making it chic and professional looking. It measures just 15.35 x 13.42 x 5.4in and weighs in at roughly 6.2kg, making it super easy to find space for; it will certainly fit on any desktop, work surface or even shelf. There is a 1.45in LCD colour screen, large, front-facing push buttons that are very easy to use and navigate and a front facing memory card slot, making printing off your photos even easier than ever before.

Advantages

One of the Epson XP-540’s many advantages is its excellent connectivity. Not only can you use the traditional USB port to connect to your computer, but you’re also able to print straight from your smartphone or tablet using Google Cloud Print and Apple Air Print. For a home printer, the Epson XP540 print speeds are great, coming in at 32ppm in both colour and black and white. There’s also a colour flatbed scanner that has a resolution of 1200 x 2400dpi while the printer has a print resolution of 5760 x 1440dpi.

Disadvantages

A few disadvantages of the Epson XP-540 include a rather flimsy 100-sheet input tray, and the LCD colour screen that looks good, but is so small it can be hard to see.
