Expert review of the HP Designjet T1100 MFP printer
The HP Designjet T1100 MFP is a large-scale printer using HP Thermal Inkjet technology and a six-ink system to create top quality, large format prints up to 44 inches. The printer is ideal for businesses that work with a variety of media, as it supports standard paper, glossy papers, and vinyl, amongst others; it is also capable of scanning and copying. For companies that regularly print posters and other marketing materials, the HP Designjet T1100 MFP is a good fit and will help to serve printing needs in-house.
Design
This HP Designjet T1100 MFP measures 74.8 x 39.4 x 63 inches and weighs a total of 440.04lbs. The HP T1100 features a roll feed, a sheet feed, and an automatic cutter, and has 256MB RAM with 40GB of hard disk space for handling large-scale jobs easily. The same amount of hard disk space is available for scanning with 1GB of memory RAM. The printer is mounted on a stand and does not require desk space. The HP Designjet T1100 MFP can be connected via parallel port or through a wired network connection.
Advantages
The HP T1100 MFP has a maximum resolution of 2400 x 1200 dpi in both mono and colour and can deal with reductions and enlargements of between one and 10,000 per cent. Print speed on colour images is decent at 30 square feet per hour when done in best mode, while the fast mode offers 445 square feet per hour. The HP Designjet T1100 MFP can handle 1,000 copies at a time, which should be adequate for most requirements. The printer is very easy to use.
Disadvantages
This HP Designjet T1100 MFP is not suitable where Wi-Fi is required, as it only works on a wired network system. The overall large size of the printer makes this printer better suited for business use, as it would be too big for most home offices.
