Aimed at small work groups, the HP Designjet T770 is a hardworking large-format printer that promises reliability, increased productivity, and speed. The HP T770 inkjet printer is user-friendly and versatile enough for a growing business, but users should beware of the warranty coverage and be prepared to be overwhelmed by the control panel.

Design

Measuring 69.7 inches wide, 41.3 inches tall, and 27.6 inches deep, the HP Designjet T770 is a 44-inch large-format inkjet colour printer with thermal inkjet technology. It uses the 6-ink palette with HP Vivera inks for vibrant colours. The Designjet T770 printer connects to a single PC via USB or to a small network via Ethernet. HP integrated 8GB of RAM with a 160GB hard disk drive for speed and efficiency in handling larger jobs. A small LCD display screen is conveniently positioned in the front centre panel of the device so users can determine the printer status.

Advantages

Users are pleased with the consistent and natural monochrome and colour output of the HP Designjet T770 (thanks to the integrated colour emulation feature). Detailed line printouts like GIS and CAD look accurate and sharp. The T770 printer is versatile in media handling and the built-in hard drive is excellent for large data. The HP Designjet T770 comes with the HP Web Jetadmin for administrators and easy configuration or monitoring of the printer in a network.

Disadvantages

The HP Designjet T-770 printer is not exactly user-friendly; it has an unintuitive and overwhelming control panel. Another downside is the limited warranty, which may not be provided to the customer depending on where they buy the printer.
