The HP Deskjet 3730 is a typical all-in-one printer that also offers standalone scanning and copying capabilities. Connected via high-speed USB or a wireless network, the printer operates thermal Inkjet printing using two cartridges, one black and one colour. Compact enough to be used in a small home office or for personal use, the printer’s simple colour scheme will seamlessly fit into any room, while its ability to complete jobs quickly and efficiently make it a valuable addition to any workspace.

Design

Measuring approximately 141 x 403 x 177mm, not accounting for its input tray when fully extended and weighing 2.33kg, the HP Deskjet 3730 is capable of printing, copying and scanning. It features an Icon LCD display for easy print management and can complete a duty cycle of up to 1,000 impressions per month. This machine can be connected via a high-speed USB device, or by using a wireless network. It is compatible with a range of mobile devices, supporting Apple AirPrint, the HP ePrint app and Mopria Print Service, among others. The HP Deskjet 3730 can create standard prints and images, as well as envelopes, labels, cards and documents of custom sizes.

Advantages

As well as being compact and, therefore, ideal for home office use, the HP Deskjet 3730 can create beautiful documents and images. It has a maximum speed of up to 8 ppm for monochrome and 5.5 ppm for colour and will hold up to 60 sheets of standard A4 paper in the input tray; the output tray holds 25 sheets. The printer’s maximum resolution is 1200x1200 dpi in monochrome and 4800x1200 in colour, or 600x600 pixels per inch for the scanning function. In terms of copying, the machine is capable of replicating 4 ppm in black, or 2.5 ppm in colour.

Disadvantages

While the HP Deskjet 3730 can print double sided, this must be done manually; as a result, larger jobs will take longer to complete.
