HP Envy 4528 All-in-One Printer Review
Expert review of the HP Envy 4528 All-in-One printer
The HP Envy 4528 is a fully customisable and feature rich all-in-one printer. Users can access print, copy and scan functions, connect with a range of different devices and refill depleted ink cartridges in a multitude of ways. It is also energy and ink efficient due to the use of the latest ink tech, which will cut down on long-term costs.
Design
The HP Envy measures 44.5 x 113 x 12.7cm and has a compact and low profile, with a minimal 5.6cm touchscreen display at the centre. It includes standard USB 2.0 and Wi-Fi connectivity, in addition to Google Cloud Print and AirPrint. The ink delivery system can be accessed via a section beneath the scanner bay and it supports HP’s new model ink cartridges, which improve colour balancing and end-of-life monitoring. The curved chassis and brushed black finish looks fresh and modern and helps it to blend in with all decor types.
Advantages
The HP Envy 4528 can print 8.9 text pages every minute in mono and 2.6 ppm for full colour graphics. In terms of its black text speed, the printer is incredibly fast and efficient and beats other devices in real world tests. It also delivers incredible black text, which is always crisp even for smaller paper formats. Full colour also impresses and the machine is whisper quiet during operation. Sleek in looks and operation, the HP Envy 4528 is perfect for any small home or work environment.
Disadvantages
The 100-sheet capacity and 25 sheet tray consigns the printer to light duty use and the unit must be operated by the touchscreen at all times, which can be a nuisance. The HP 4529 does not include a memory card either and there is no Ethernet port, which means users cannot access direct networking for higher speeds whilst networking.
