Ideal for a range of faxing, scanning, copying and printing jobs, the HP OfficeJet Pro 9022 is suitable for medium-sized workgroups that need a wireless solution. It can manage various printing tasks from letters to legal documents, projects to detailed graphics, and photographs. Many types of media can be used, including glossy, photo and tri-fold paper, as well as envelopes and card stock in a selection of sizes. There are many functions to navigate between, but these are simple to find using the 2.65-inch display screen. Rendered in full colour, this screen provides step-by-step instructions and also allows users to use shortcuts.

Design

The HP OfficeJet Pro 9022 measures 19.5 x 14 x 19.2 inches and weighs 26 lb, so it will need to be moved with care. Inside, there is a 1.2 GHz processor, and this is supported by 512MB of built-in memory. Although it is essentially a wireless printer, this machine also has two RJ-11 modem ports, a USB 2.0 port and a host USB port. In terms of paper handling, there is a 250-sheet input tray for standard sizes and a 250-sheet multipurpose input tray. To speed up a run of double-sided copies, the duplexing feature is automatic.

Advantages

When producing high-quality ISO pages, the print speed is up to 24 pages per minute in monochrome and 20 pages per minute in colour. The HP OfficeJet Pro 9022 has a time to first print of 9 seconds for monochrome and 10 seconds for colour sheets. The best rendering is in colour, with a resolution level of 4800 x 1200 dpi for prints on photo paper. The monthly duty cycle for A4 is up to 30,000 pages.

Disadvantages

The maximum output tray capacity for this printer is 100 sheets, which is significantly less than the input tray and cannot be expanded.
