The HP Photosmart eStation C510a is a unique combination of a fax machine, copier, printer, and scanner, with e-printing capabilities. The device uses inkjet print technology and offers excellent value by adding scan, fax, and copy functions to its already packed e-printing features. Ideal for household use, the HP Photosmart eStation All-in-One printer - C510a can also print directly from wireless devices, eliminating the need for a PC connection. However, some users have had problems with fax and scan capabilities and have reported lock-ups on mobile devices when using the eStation C510a printer.

Design

The Photosmart eStation C510a All-in-One colour printer is a relatively compact unit, measuring only 17.8x17.9x7.5 inches. It works with a wide range of operating systems, including major Mac and Windows OS, making it a good choice for all kinds of users. The HP Photosmart C510a All-in-One eStation printer has a standard media capacity of up to 125 sheets, good enough for light printing. The HP C510a multifunction printer supports a wide variety of media types, including labels, envelopes, cards, transparencies, photo paper, as well as plain paper.

Advantages

The HP Photosmart eStation C510a colour inkjet printer is an interesting concept, combining the convenience of a wireless e-printer with the versatility of a multifunction unit. The unique tablet interface and responsive touchscreen make the Photosmart C510a eStation extremely user-friendly and give it a futuristic, novelty appearance. The HP C510a eStation prints well, with maximum resolutions up to 9600x2400 dpi, and it copies and prints at quite rapid print rates of up to 33 ppm in monochrome and 32 ppm in colour. Impressive photo prints with bright, vivid colours are delivered by the HP Photosmart C510 eStation ink cartridges which come in four separate colours allowing for more convenient replacement and full depletion of the ink inside each tank.

Disadvantages

However, some users of the eStation C510a find other functions quite lacking, such as the scan feature. E-printing capabilities also fail when used with some types of mobile devices like tablet PCs.
