This monochrome laser printer is the Lexmark MX721ade. It is a speedy printer that has a variety of useful features for the modern office. It is a multi-function printer with faxing, copying and scanning all included. Designed for larger offices, this printer will be able to deal with most of your daily printing requirements.

Design

Duplex printing is standard on the MX721ade Lexmark, saving both money and paper. The touch screen is a colour panel that measures 17.8 cm – one of the largest on a printer of this size. The paper feed trays hold up to 650 sheets of paper and the printer measures 73.91x55.88x57.84 cm. The unit weighs 44.1 kg but castors can be fitted to move it around easily if needed.

Advantages

The print speed of the mono Lexmark MX721ade is 62 ppm. The printer supports a variety of paper sizes up to A4 as well as envelopes. Your wait time for the first page to appear is just 4.2 seconds and the 1200x1200 dpi resolution of the prints allows clear and sharp prints each time. There are a number of different print cartridges that can be used but high yield toner cartridges will provide thousands of printed sheets and you don’t have to change them very often.

Disadvantages

The Lexmark MX721ade is a large laser printer, so it will need a dedicated space in the office. This means that it is not the ideal choice for a small office and it is definitely not recommended for a home office. Its lack of ability to print anything bigger than A3 is a disadvantage, particularly as this machine is designed for the larger office. It is also a disadvantage that this printer cannot perform colour printing. Overall, this printer may lack the flexibility that many offices require.
