The Oki C9600 is one of the fastest colour laser printers currently on the market. It makes up for its steep cost with impressive speed and quality, network capabilities, large memory, and incredible variety of media handling. Designed for heavy use in offices, this workhorse is a paragon of printing efficiency.
First and foremost, the Oki C9600 is a speed demon. With a black and white print speed of 40 pages per minute, and a colour print speed of 36 pages per minute, it is designed for efficiency. The C9600 is Ethernet ready and supports several types of networks and data transmission. Its 20 GB hard drive is ready for heavy multitasking and large jobs of all kinds. It features a total media capacity of 760 sheets from 2 input trays and supports all standard media sizes, including large format up to 32.7 x 12 cm. All this combined with a monthly duty cycle of up to 150,000 pages make the Oki C9600 a model machine. Oki C9600 toner is included: cyan, magenta, yellow, and black cartridges with 7,500 page capacities.
The C9600 is packed with features, from an LCD display built-in, to fast networking, to incredible print speeds with resolution up to 1,200 x 600 dpi, to automatic duplexing, this workhorse will help streamline office efficiency. It is compatible with both Windows and Apple operating systems. Since Oki C9600 toner is separated, replace single cartridges only as needed. The price for each toner cartridge is reasonable, and standard cartridges yield a competitive 15,000 pages.
The only ostensible disadvantage to the Oki C9600 is the initial cost of the machine. Though it is certainly built to work hard, if speed is not of the utmost concern, the staggering price tag for the C6900 may be quite a deterrent. Also, because it is capable of large format printing, the C6900 is slightly larger than other printers in its class, clocking in at 63 x 60 x 45 cm.
