The basic Oki MC851 is a multifunction printer that can also scan, copy, and fax. It delivers good quality output with a 600 x 600 dpi resolution. More importantly, the Oki MC851 has quick print, copy, scan, and fax speeds. The recommended monthly page volume for the Oki MC851 is 8,000 pages but it can handle up to 60,000 pages per month. The Oki MC851 A3 colour multifunction printer can be upgraded with an optional duplexer and networking functionalities.

Design

This compact device has an automatic document feeder and scanner that is supported by 2 columns, which are attached to the printer and base. Users will have no trouble operating the Oki MC851 colour laser printer as it features a touch-screen display plus an organised key pad on the control panel. Print speeds are quick, it can finish monochrome print jobs with a rate of 34 ppm and 22 ppm for coloured.

Advantages

The handy Oki MC851 multifunction printer can be used for faxing, scanning, copying, and printing and it delivers excellent quality output at reasonable speeds. The Oki MC851 even has a PC-fax option where users can send or receive fax directly through their computers. The MC851 all-in-one multifunction printer is compatible with Macintosh and Windows computers plus it is easy to use, thanks to the helpful touch-screen display. With four separate cartridges to replace, users will find that purchasing a set of Oki MC851 laser toners is the best way to save money.

Disadvantages

The Oki MC851 printer is a base unit, so it does not offer additional paper trays. The MC-851 A3 laser multifunction printer also lacks a duplexer for automatic double-sided printing and networking options such as Wi-Fi or Ethernet.
