The Ricoh SP C320DN colour laser printer fits well in a medium to large office. From standard features like duplex printing, to unique features like the sensors that switch power off in low lighting at night, this printer is efficient and environmentally conscious. The less appealing aspects of the Ricoh SP C320DN are a slightly lagging print speed and the resolution of colour prints when compared to top-rated laser printers.

Design

The Ricoh SPC320DN has a modern cube shape and measures about 400 x 480 x 387 mm. A greyish-black control panel on a neutral light body complements any office interior design. The Ricoh SP C320DN weighs around 29 kg. Expect an impressive duty cycle of close to 75,000 pages per month. The display is simple and unimpressive, but displays pertinent information like ink levels.

Advantages

The Ricoh SP C320DN saves money with its eco-friendly design, including an automatic power off feature at night and low power consumption. Standard duplex printing and lower cost per print ensure a lower cost of ownership. The small body of this printer saves valuable office space. Colourful laser prints are output at about 25 ppm. The Ricoh SP C320DN is a great help since it is capable of printing on various media, from envelopes to transparencies. Print resolution is just about 1200 x 1200 dpi.

Disadvantages

The print speed seems to lag more than expected. Laser printers are usually expected to produce the sharpest prints, yet the Ricoh SPC320DN produces graphics that are not the high-quality expected in the laser printer category. This should not affect the printer in daily office use, but for professional graphic design jobs there might be a subtle quality difference that would be noticeable.
