Our Verdict:

For fast duplex printing and copying, go for the Sharp AR-5620D monochrome multifunction printer. It supports black and white printing and copying, while offering full colour scanning, ideal for offices that don't require regular colour printing. It is an excellent device for professional document production, offering a maximum paper capacity of up to 1,100 sheets, with the optional paper trays, the Sharp AR5620D even offers optional networking, which makes it a good choice for shared printer environments. However, the Sharp AR-5620D is only limited to monochrome production, and it does not offer fax.

Design

Measuring just about 59x57x60 cm, the Sharp AR-5620D is ideally designed for desktop operation. However, extra paper trays add to the total height of the device, which makes it hard to manage on high tabletops. The Sharp AR 5620D has its own automatic duplex unit and it features a built in RAM with a 64 MB capacity. One of the best things about this unit is its expandability, allowing users to maximize its input capacity and add other options like automatic document feeding and networking.

Advantages

The Sharp AR-5620D is a handy device to have in a workgroup setting. It offers quality printing, copying, and full colour scanning, and it can handle paper sizes from A6 to A3. The device also offers impressive print rates up to 20 ppm, using A4 size paper.

Disadvantages

The Sharp AR-5620D can only produce black and white prints. Optional upgrades also cost extra and the unit does not offer fax capabilities.
