Sharp AR-5623D Printer Review
Expert review of the Sharp AR-5623D printer
Designed for small businesses, the Sharp AR-5623D is a multifunction device that can copy, scan, and print. It can handle media as large as A3 and it can continuously copy up to 999 pages. The Sharp AR-5623D is integrated with 64 MB of memory and it has a maximum resolution of 600 x 600 dpi. Networking is not standard to the unit.
Design
The Sharp AR-5623D measures 591 x 567 x 595 mm and weighs 32.8 kg. It has a flatbed scanner with automatic document feeder and an organised control panel with display. The Sharp AR-5623D can handle 600 sheets at a time but it can be expanded to 1,100 sheets. Print speed can go as fast as 23 ppm with the first page out in 5.9 seconds. For connectivity, a USB interface is available.
Advantages
Users will have no trouble operating the Sharp AR-5623D. This model is easy to setup and use. It is also reliable. It offers decent-quality prints and copies and good coloured scans. With the flatbed scanner, users can copy originals such as 3D objects and books. The Sharp AR-5623D is great for small offices as it takes up little space.
Disadvantages
This model will not be sufficient for more demanding work environments as it has limited paper handling capacity. There are new multifunction copiers that can deliver better output faster than the Sharp AR-5623D. This device does not offer standard networking connectivity and it does not work on other operating systems aside from Windows.
