The Brother DCP-L3550CDW wireless duplex model is a full-featured printer that also supports copying, scanning and automatic duplexing. This is a printer that makes use of LED array technology to perform in the same way as a laser printer. It produces high resolution colour prints and includes an automatic document feeder to enable speedy scanning and copying. Designed for small office use, this multifunction printer has a design that is both sleek and modern-looking, and it will fit easily on a desk.

Design

Reasonably sized, the DCP-L3550CDW Brother printer measures 410 x 414 x 475mm and weighs 23.2kg. This multifunction device features a 3.7-inch TFT colour touchscreen display that is both easy to use and intuitive. Intended for use in smaller offices, it is relatively lightweight and can be placed on a centrally located desk for all to use. It is also quite fast, with a first copy out time of approximately 17.5 seconds.

Advantages

With a standard paper capacity of 250 sheets and a single-sheet manual feed slot, this colour printer can handle paper sizes up to A4, while the manual feed slot can be used for envelopes and glossy paper. Capable of a maximum copying and printing speed of 19 ppm in both monochrome and colour, this device can scan in up to 48-bit colour. The multifunction Brother DCP-L3550CDW printer model has a maximum printing resolution of 2400 x 600 dpi and produces clear, high-quality prints with bright colours that rival much more expensive competitors.

Disadvantages

Due to the lack of faxing capability, this colour Brother printer may not be the perfect solution for all small businesses. It also has a relatively low paper capacity and cannot be used for printing envelopes aside from one at a time through the manual feed slot. If your company prints large volumes, then this may not be the best solution for your needs.
