Our Verdict:

With the Lexmark T522 printer, users can save precious space and time in the office. This monochrome laser printer delivers good quality output at a reasonable speed and yet the unit is very small. It has a 250 MHz processor and is integrated with 16 MB of memory upgradable to 272 MB. The Lexmark T522 black and white laser printer has a maximum resolution of 1,200 x 1,200 dpi and can handle thousands of sheets at once. The automatic duplexer must be bought separately.

Design

This model comes in white and has parallel and USB interfaces for connectivity. A small control panel with a monochrome LCD display and function buttons are also on the unit. The Lexmark T522 can handle 600 sheets at a time but with paper handling options it can be increased to 4,100 sheets. The Lexmark T522 has a print speed of 25 ppm with the first page out in nine seconds. It can handle different types of media including labels, card stocks, and transparencies.

Advantages

The Lexmark T522 monochrome laser printer is compatible with most operating systems including Windows and Macintosh. In spite of its small size, this monochrome laser printer is very reliable and can deliver crisp and professional text documents and solid greyscale graphics and images. Disadvantages

The T522 laser printer has plenty of room for improvement with the control panel. A USB host would also be handy for direct printing. The automatic duplexer is not standard to the unit while networking connectivity is not available, even as an option.
