Our Verdict:

The Oki C831dn is a decent machine at a good price. Its functionality, reasonable speeds and ease of control make this printer an option to be considered for the small to mid-sized office that has average print demands.

Design

The Oki C831dn has a simple, elegant design in off-white with grey accents. It weighs in at 82 pounds and measures 17.6 inches wide by 21.7 inches deep by 14.2 inches high. It is small enough for tabletop use but will likely need to sit alone due to its weight. The front panel is flush with the print bed and features a black and white LED display for easy-to-read task status, while control panel entries are made on a simple four-way input pad and full alphanumeric keypad set into the same space.

Advantages

At the lower end of the price range for machines of this ilk, the Oki C831dn is nevertheless a very capable machine, offering decent-quality output up to a maximum resolution of 1,200 x 600 dpi (monochrome).
