The simple Brother PT-80 printer is a user-friendly label machine ideal for home or office use. It can deliver labels that can resist change in temperature and even fading, making it ideal for use on food storage in freezers. This standalone device can offer different labelling options and even comes with a handy auto format feature. The Brother P-Touch PT-80 label maker machine has a maximum resolution of 203dpi and delivers at a speed of 7.5mm/s.
Design
The Brother PT-80 labeller weighs 240g and measures 172 x 100 x 58mm. It comes with a 12 characters x 1 line LCD display on the front along with a QWERTY keypad and function buttons. A manual cutter as well as tape cassette and battery compartments is also on the Brother PT-80 handheld labeller. This model can handle 9 and 12mm M-tapes and uses 4 AAA batteries.
Advantages
Printing labels is easy and affordable with this labeller and its low cost Brother PT-80 label tape cassettes. What’s more, it offers 6 different font sizes, 5 frames, 71 symbols and 280 characters. Print preview is offered to reduce errors in printing labels. The Brother PT-80 label printer can deliver up to 2 lines on a single label and it offers different type styles. Other features of the P-Touch PT80 include up to 9 repeat print, text buffer of 80 characters, vertical printing, and time and date. To save up on batteries, auto power shut off is available.
Disadvantages
The PT-80 labeller would be better if it had a larger display. This model can also use an automatic cutter and standard rechargeable batteries with AC adapter. Only 1 font is offered by the Brother PT 80 labelling machine.
