HP Colour LaserJet 2820 toner cartridges 

The HP Colour LaserJet 2820 is an impressive 30,000 impressions per month printer that can meet the high-volume demands of any busy office. It is a combination laser and colour printer that also serves as a multifunction device complete with scanner, and copier. Printing can be done in a 20 page per minute print speed in black and white or 4 pages per minute in colour. Resolution on the HP 2820 is rated at 600 x 600 dpi. To replicate colours and enhance images, HP ImageREt 2400 and HP FastRes 1200 technology are employed to produce high-quality documents or photos. Copying features include maximum document enlargement of up to 400 per cent and a 256 tone gray scale. Scanning is done using an optical resolution of 1,200 x 1,200 dpi.

Design

This printer has a small office footprint and only occupies 49.78 cm in width, 53.08 cm in depth, and 52.32 cm in height. This printer is also moderately heavy at a weight of 31.61 kg. Memory comes standard at 96 MB of RAM but can be upgraded to 224 MB using a memory expansion slot that is provided on the enclosure. A high-speed USB cord or an Ethernet connection is used to connect to a computer and installation takes only minutes to finish. HP 2820 toner is efficient and can print on up to 5,000 pages at a 5 percent coverage rate in black and up to 4,000 pages in cyan, magenta and yellow HP 2820 toners.

Advantages

This printer can print on a variety of media which include labels, cards, envelopes, plain paper, photo paper, and transparencies. A 125 sheet input tray is accompanied by a 125 output tray that prevents overflow and damage to documents. This printer uses only 398 watts of energy during operation and reduces power consumption down to only 20 watts when sleep mode. Furthermore, HP 2820 toners are also very affordable.

Disadvantages

For its printing speeds, the HP Colour LaserJet 2820 is expensive. Another common complaint is software bugs that cause scanning problems in a network. This printer can also be inconveniently noisy at a sound emission rating of 52 decibels.
