HP Laserjet 4050 toner cartridges 

The HP LaserJet 4050 is a high-performance printer that is suitable for a large organisation or for the office of a small business. It is a laser monochrome printer that is able to print up to 17 pages per minute and is able to complete a monthly duty cycle of up to 65,000 pages. In addition, this printer has the ability to print in a maximum resolution of 1,200 x 1,200 dpi. The HP 4050 is able to handle multiple incoming print jobs by using a NEC VR4310 133 MHz processor and 8 MB of RAM.

Design

This printer is not the smallest or the lightest but it is also not the biggest. Its dimensions are 39.11 cm in width, 61.72 cm in depth, and 34.29 cm in height with a weight of 17.91 kilograms and is semi-portable. A great design feature of the HP 4050 is that it can be connected without wires using a built-in infrared port and if the hardware is not available, you can still connect using a traditional parallel connection. This printer also features two media feeders that have a maximum capacity of 600 sheets of paper.

Advantages

A great advantage to the HP 4050 is it has optional duplex printing, a feature that will allow you to print on both sides of a paper. This printer has three memory expansion slots that will allow you to upgrade the printer's memory up to 200 MB. This printer can also print on various types of media which include plain paper, business cards, envelopes, labels, and transparencies. In addition, this printer only uses 317 watts of energy during operation. Thoughtful design means that replacing used HP 4050 toner is no problem.

Disadvantages

However, this printer does not come with a scanner or copier. Another disadvantage is the HP LaserJet 4050 requires that you have Windows 2000 or Windows NT 4.0 for installation. This printer's software will not integrate on any other operating systems, including Mac OS X. This printer is also expensive, although a wide range of HP 4050 toner supplies are available from Cartridge Save. If price is not a concern, the HP LaserJet 4050 is a great printer based on its speed and dependability.
