The Oki B930n is a practical monochrome LED printer for demanding users who require a powerful and reliable network printer to increase their productivity. It is fast and can be upgraded with a good range of finishing options to help save time, but the print quality tends to falter in photos and the maximum memory may be insufficient for more complex tasks.
Design
The base unit weighs approximately 44.1Kg and measures 498mm x 640mm x 525mm. It comes with a 1,000-sheet standard paper cassette and a paper output capacity of 500 sheets face-down. The 100-sheet manual feeder can handle specialty media. The Oki B930n runs on 256MB RAM, with processing speed of up to 600MHz. Ethernet is a standard interface in the Oki B930n along with high-speed USB 2.0.
Advantages
It is easy to configure the Oki B930n to suit the unique needs of every office. The print speeds are up to 50ppm in A4 and 28ppm in A3. There is support for in-box utilities. The Oki B930n is upgradeable to have a duplexer and high capacity finisher or feeder. LED technology helps reduce energy consumption and minimise operational noise. The memory is upgradeable to 768MB.
Disadvantages
Duplexing is not standard and the default memory is not good enough for complex documents. The Oki B930n has a boxy build that can take up more space on a typical desktop.
