Developed for speed, the monochrome WorkForce Pro WF-M5299DW Epson machine can produce a yield of up to 45,000 pages per month and prints at a rate of 24 pages each minute. The average dpi is 1200 x 1200 and the first page to print time is an impressive 4.8 seconds. The printer dimensions out of the box are 425w x 535h x 357d, and it weighs 14.9 kg. In the paper tray, there is enough space for 830 sheets, and 250 sheets will fit into the main tray, so there is less need for staff to refill the unit during a print run.

Advantages

Using non-contact printing techniques, this printer is able to manage a huge selection of media, including labels, envelopes, recycled paper and glossy paper. To give staff the time to do other things, the double-sided printing is automatic and requires no supervision. Using Near-Field communication or wireless connectivity, staff members can print from devices, including mobile phone and tablets, from anywhere in the office. The LCD screen measures 6cm diagonally and can be used to access a range of printer functions – it is simple to operate, even for less experienced staff.

Disadvantages

The Epson WorkForce Pro WF-M5299DW printer model is a good monochrome printer, but many businesses will prefer a colour printing option.
